Warranty Guidelines
Start Date: Products as noted below will have the new Viking Signature 3 Year Warranty if purchased on or after May 1st, 2011.
How claims are processed: Each model has a warranty code in our warranty claims processing system that defines the warranty period for purchases on/after May 1, 2011.
Product registration: The customer is not required to mail-in, call in or otherwise register the product, although this is highly recommended (as a benefit to make verifying warranty coverage easier).
Proof of purchase date: The customer should keep proof-of-purchase to verify warranty coverage should service be required.
General Warranty Statement: All noted products and all of their component parts, except as detailed below*, are warranted to be free from defective materials or workmanship in normal residential use for a period of thirty-six (36) months from the date of original retail purchase or closing date for new construction. Viking Range Corporation, warrantor, agrees to repair or replace, at its option, any part which fails or is found to be defective during the warranty period.
Warranty valid on Viking products shipped within the United States and Canada. Products must be purchased in the country where service is requested.
Products that include the new 3 Year Signature Warranty
- Viking Professional Series products
- All overlay/custom panel products (warming drawers, ventilation, refrigeration, and dishwashers)
- Designer wall/island hoods
- Static displays of the products noted above that are sold within current display guidelines (see below)
Products that are excluded from the 3 Year Signature Warranty
- All under counter refrigeration products including ice machines
- Viking Designer products except wall/island hoods
- Viking Outdoor products
- Live/used display products*
Display Units Sold to Customers
- Products from functional displays are only covered by the remainder of the original product warranty. This warranty period starts
on the date the unit is installed in the display.
- Products from static displays which are sold within FIVE years of the date of manufacture will carry a full manufacturer warranty from the date of the customer purchase with the exception of the 90 day for cosmetic warranty. It is the responsibility of the dealer to inform the customer that the unit is a display model and that the original manufacturer warranty is as written above. |
