
A University study sampled 4000 Realtors across five major markets in the United States for Viking Range Corporation during the spring of 2007. The results consistently supported the value of the Viking brand in enhancing home sale and resale values. After using multiple approaches to address this issue, the following summary statements would be well supported by this study

- “Viking kitchen appliances have been consistently shown to enhance home resale values.” * “In a national study, leading real estate professionals recommended Viking kitchen appliances by 4-to-1 over the next leading brand in order to maximize home resale value.”
- “In a study of major markets across the United States, Viking kitchen appliances consistently enhanced home sale and resale values.”
- “Viking kitchen appliances have been shown to add a resale premium to a home that far exceeds the cost of the appliances themselves”
- “In a national study, leading real estate experts noted that Viking kitchen appliances not only help a home sell for more money, but actually help it sell more quickly” [Note: Although not mentioned earlier in this report, we heard this comment from at least 5-10% of participants]
- “A national study showed that, on average, Viking kitchen appliances added over 4% to a home’s resale value, compared to lesser brands.”
