SunWest / Viking Participated in Phoenix Cooks
Arizona’s Premier Culinary Event, Phoenix Cooks, took place on Saturday, September 2nd at the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa. SunWest and Viking made an impact with fully equipped kitchen vignettes, outdoor products and wine cellars. The event featured the Valley’s top chefs as well as SunWest Resident Chef, Amy Ahrensdorf. The event drew over 4,000 people with a portion of ticket sales benefiting the Phoenix Children’s Hospital.

  • Outdoor Kitchens - The summer months are here, and we need your assistance in identifying Viking outdoor kitchens that include not just grills, but other outdoor products such as stainless steel cabinetry, beverage dispensers, warming drawers, refrigerators and the outdoor wok. Please let us know of any outstanding outdoor Viking kitchens in your area.
  • Designer Series - We continue to look for full Designer Series kitchens to present to decorating and food magazines. Please let us know immediately of any unique Designer Series kitchens in your market.

Introduction of Viking Outdoor VGBQ E-Series Grill Line

VGIQ Grill

Viking is pleased to announce the introduction of VGBQ "E" Series outdoor gas grills to the outdoor products line. These much-anticipated grills are offered in 30"W., 41"W. and 53"W. sizes and in all the configurations of the current T-Series line. The grills offer the same top-of-the-line features provided on current Viking grills with the added feature of a 120V electric ignition system. This allows the E-Series to provide built-in canopy lighting standard, plus an automatic re-ignition system. These models fit the same existing cutouts as the current T-Series line and are recommended for built-in applications. These new models provide Viking outdoor chefs the added convenience of built-in lighting along with several other additional features not currently offered on the T-Series.

The T-Series is not being discontinued and continues to be available for order.

  • VGBQ300-2RE - Outdoor gas 30"W. E-Series "all" grill
  • VGBQ412-2RE - Outdoor gas 41"W. E-Series grill with side burners
  • VGBQ410-3RE - Outdoor gas 41"W. E-Series "all" grill

Halogen LightingFeatures Exclusive to E-Series Grills:

  • Halogen lighting (2) mounted on the inside of E-Series grill canopy
    • Provide ample lighting for nighttime grilling
    • Easy-to-use push-button lighting on front of grill
  • Push and turn, automatic electric spark ignition and re-ignition; burners light at lite/high position on the knob and re-light if extinguished, even at lowest setting
  • New, easy-to-read numeral thermometer gives approximate temperature setting from 0 to 750 degrees F (0 to 399 degress C)

VGIQ Grill

Viking is pleased to announce the introduction of the T-Series outdoor 30"W. gas grill with the TruSear infrared burner. The grill offers the same top-of-the-line features provided on current Viking grills with the added feature of the TruSear infrared burner. This high-powered infrared burner provides intense searing heat that caramelizes the outside of food to lock in natural juices and flavors. This new burner is ideal for preparing succulent meats such as steaks and chops. This new model provides Viking outdoor chefs an exciting new option to explore within the realm of Viking outdoor cooking.

Introduction of Viking Outdoor 24"W. VGIB TruSear™ Infrared Griller

VGIQ Grill

Viking is also pleased to introduce the built-in gas 24"W.TruSear infrared griller. This 24"W. unit uses intense searing heat to lock in flavors and juices, similar to the burner found in VGIQ model grills. Now Viking consumers who want infrared capabilities separate from their grill can easily build this model into their outdoor kitchen. This infrared griller has the same cutout dimensions as the current VGWT wok cooker, so if a customer wants to replace one with the other, it will not be a problem.

  • Commercial-style appearance and design
  • TruSear burner is constructed of heavy-duty inconel stainless steel

SunWest hosts Product Cooking Demonstrations every month from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. Invite your customers who are interested in Viking to our showroom to get in-depth information on how they can have Professional Performance in their home with Viking products.

  • December 13.

All session are free of charge and are held at the SunWest showroom from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. Reservations required.

Food Wine and Jazz Experience
Sunday October 15
The Phoenix Symphony and Phoenix Magazine are bringing the Valley's hottest new restaurants together for one incredible evening of culinary indulgence! Experience fabulous fare from Phoenix magazine's "Best New Restaurants of 2006" and Kierland Commons' many restaurants, while enjoying fine wine and spirits at Phoenix Magazine's Food, Wine, & Jazz Experience. In addition to food and wine samples, there will be live jazz, while an intriguing collection of silent auction items will be available.
